A group of International students from countries including Italy and Morocco visited canned fruit industry parks and Jiujianpeng scenic area in Pingyi County, Linyi City, east China’s Shandong Province on May 18.

In addition to see and understand the social and economic development in Pingyi, the visit helped the international students to learn and experience the diversity of cultures and customs in Pingyi, Linyi.

Difang town in Pingyi, which produces a third of the canned fruit sold in China, has also garnered more attention. Canned foods produced in Pingyi have been exported to more than 40 countries and regions, including the United States, Russia, Japan, South Korea and Germany.

Jiujianpeng, a village in Pingyi, was once one of Shandong's poorest settlements as a result of its harsh natural environment. In recent decades, it has seen great changes in both its environment and people's livelihoods.
